As the new year rolls in, we are incredibly excited to be in the final stages of opening Unleashed Carlisle – our secure dog paddock, designed with love and care for dog owners who want a safe space for their pets to train, exercise, and just be themselves. It’s been quite the journey from the initial idea to where we are now, standing on the verge of opening the gates to this unique facility, and we wanted to share our story with you.
The Dream Behind Unleashed Carlisle
The idea for Unleashed Carlisle came about through our passion for dogs, especially those who require a bit more security and freedom to roam in a safe environment. Many of us have experienced the difficulty of finding secure, off-lead spaces for dogs that are reactive or easily distracted. Whether it’s a dog that doesn’t always come back when called, or one who needs a little extra privacy due to fearfulness or reactivity, we wanted to create a haven where every dog could thrive.
Our paddock isn’t just a secure space – it’s designed with training in mind, including for working dogs who need to hone their skills in scent detection, tracking, agility, or obedience. We also cater for dogs with behavioural issues who can’t be let off the lead in regular public spaces, ensuring that they too can enjoy freedom and fun in a safe setting.
Building the Perfect Dog Paddock
With over an acre of space, it’s a place where dogs of all sizes and temperaments can stretch their legs, run free, and enjoy the outdoors.
Our team worked hard to ensure the paddock is completely secure – fencing has been specially designed to prevent any sneaky escape artists from finding a way out. While our paddock is fully secure with high-quality fencing, we’ve chosen not to dig in underground netting to prevent digging; instead, we trust that owners will supervise their dogs, and any escape attempts would need to be very quick to get under the fence.
It wasn’t just about installing fences and adding obstacles; we aimed to create a space that feels inviting for both dogs and their owners. The paddock has been thoughtfully designed to be as accessible as possible, making it easy to use for most visitors. That said, we acknowledge there may be some limitations for those with specific mobility needs, so we encourage anyone with concerns to get in touch. We’ve also streamlined the booking process to make it simple and stress-free, ensuring you can focus on enjoying quality time with your dog.

As we approach the official opening, we’re putting the finishing touches on everything, from final checks on security to making sure the booking system is straightforward and accessible.
