Unleashed Carlisle – Dog Walking Paddock Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Unleashed Carlisle! We are so glad you have chosen our dog walking paddock. We aim to create a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for dogs, especially reactive dogs. Whether you are here to let your dog run free or to help them build confidence, please take a moment to read our Terms and Conditions. By booking and using the paddock, you are agreeing to follow these guidelines.
1. Owner Responsibility
• Supervision: Always supervise your dog(s) while in the paddock.
• Waste Disposal: Clean up after your dog(s) and dispose of waste in the provided bins.
2. Booking and General Use
• Booking Process: The paddock is reserved through our online booking system. When you book, you are agreeing to follow our terms and conditions.
• Follow the Signs: We ask that all users respect any posted signs or instructions from our staff to help ensure everyone’s safety.
• Changes to Availability: Unleashed Carlisle reserves the right to change, modify, or close the paddock at any time, without prior notice. If this results in the cancellation of bookings, you will be reimbursed.
• Group Session: If you would like to book the paddock for a group session please contact us.
3. Paddock Use
• Session Times: Sessions are 50 minutes long, starting on the hour. Please leave promptly after your session to allow the next users access.
• Leave No Trace: Please make the paddock a clean and enjoyable space for everyone. Collect all dog waste and litter. If you spot waste left by someone else, please pick it up and let us know. Leave 5 minutes at the end to ensure the area is clear.
• Capacity: Up to three cars can use the designated car park at one time and seven dogs may use the paddock.
• Additional Users: If additional people will be using the paddock during your session, they must be friends or family members. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, we kindly ask that only those personally known to you join the session. This helps maintain a controlled and secure space for all users and their dogs.
4. Etiquette and Behaviour
• Respectful Space: Unleashed Carlisle is designed to be a safe, stress-free environment. Please respect the space of other dogs and their owners. If you or your dog are disruptive, access may be restricted.
• Barking and Noise: While we welcome dogs with behavioural challenges, we do ask that you be mindful of our neighbours. Continuous, disruptive barking may result in restrictions.
• Pick Up After Your Dog: We provide bins, so please ensure you pick up after your dog, including uneaten treats or toys.
• Smoking, BBQs and Fires: Smoking, BBQs and Fires are prohibited anywhere on site.
• Grooming: For safety and cleanliness, grooming is not allowed on-site.
• Digging: We ask that you discourage your dog from digging. We plan to install a digging pit in the future for that purpose.
• Dog-to-Adult Ratio: For safety, no more than 4 dogs per adult. If you are sharing a session with other friends or family, please make sure they read and understand these terms.
5. Health and Safety
• Health Requirements: Ensure your dog is up to date on vaccinations and free from contagious diseases. If your dog has been unwell in the last 48 hours, please postpone your visit to protect others.
• Weather Conditions: Check the forecast before your visit. Weather conditions can vary, and we want both you and your dog to be comfortable.
• Supervision: Never leave a dog unattended, either in the paddock or in your vehicle while using the paddock with another dog.
6. Equipment Usage
• Dog Fitness: Before using the equipment, consult your vet to ensure your dog is physically capable of engaging in the activities safely.
• No Forced Activity: Never force your dog to use equipment or engage in an activity they are not comfortable with. Allow them to progress at their own pace.
• Conditions Matter: Avoid using the equipment in wet or icy conditions as it can become slippery and hazardous.
• Dogs Should not Be Lifted: Dogs should not be lifted onto obstacles. Let them explore and engage with equipment naturally.
7. Opening Hours
• Seasonal Hours: The paddock is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in winter and 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in summer. These times may vary, so please check our website for updates.
• Closure for Maintenance: We reserve the right to close the paddock for maintenance, weather conditions, or emergencies without notice. If you have an existing booking, we will work with you to reschedule or refund.
8. Liability and Damage
• Use at Your Own Risk: You and your dog(s) are entering the paddock at your own risk. We are not liable for any injuries or damages caused during use.
• Responsibility for Damages: You are responsible for any damages caused by your dog(s) or anyone in your party, both inside and outside the paddock.
• Insurance: All dogs must have public liability insurance, which is often covered by your pet insurance or house insurance policy.
• Legal Liability: XL Bully dogs and other banned breeds are not permitted to use our dog walking paddock due to insurance restrictions. Our insurers do not provide indemnity for any legal liability arising from the presence or actions of dangerous dogs, as defined by relevant legislation. Therefore, we cannot allow these breeds to access the paddock to comply with our insurance policy.
• Quarantine Regulations: To ensure compliance with quarantine regulations, our insurers and to maintain the safety and well-being of all paddock users, we are unable to allow dogs subject to quarantine regulations access to the facility.
9. Arriving and Leaving
• Parking: We offer secure and accessible parking for up to three cars. Please wait for the previous users to leave before entering the parking area to avoid causing stress to any reactive dogs and their owners.
• Car Park: If you are early and the car park is in use, please wait on the parking spaces on the other side of the hedge until the space is vacated.
• Entering the Paddock: Do not enter the paddock while another session is in progress. If you arrive and the area is still in use, please inform us immediately.
• Gate Protocol: Always ensure the gate is closed when entering or leaving the paddock. Please only let your dogs out of your vehicle once the gate is closed behind you. This helps maintain security and prevent escapes. Please close the pedestrian gate into the paddock behind you when you go in to use the paddock and behind you when you leave to finish your session.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
• Right to Modify: Unleashed Carlisle reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website or displayed at the site.
• Continued Use: Continued use of the paddock after any updates constitutes acceptance of the changes.
11. Cancellations and Amendments
• 24 Hours’ Notice: For cancellations or rescheduling made at least 24 hours before your booking, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional charge.
• Less than 24 Hours’ Notice: If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your scheduled time, we will charge 50% of the booking fee to cover the costs of lost availability.
• No Show: If you do not show up for your booking without prior notice, we will charge the full booking fee.
• Bad Weather/Other Circumstances: In the event of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances that make it unsafe to use the paddock, we will work with you to reschedule or offer a refund.
• Emergency Cancellations: We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to cancel for an urgent reason, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.
12. Privacy
• Your Privacy Matters: We take your privacy seriously. We only collect your personal information for booking purposes and administrative use. Your details are never shared with third parties.
• Communication: If you would like to receive updates, you can opt-in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
